Former world number one Tiger Woods has hailed Olympic gold medal winner Justin Rose and the other stars who featured in Rio.
A number of high-profile players decided not to make the trip to Brazil due to scheduling conflicts and concerns over the zika virus.
Great Britain’s Rose claimed the gold, with Sweden’s Henrik Stenson just missing out on the top prize and having to settle for silver, while Matt Kucher earned bronze.
Woods, who has been struggling with ongoing back problems, was impressed with the competition and believes the players can take great credit for putting on a thrilling final round.
He tweeted: “Thrilled for Rosie, Henrik & Kuch, but all golfers in Rio this week should be proud.”
