Shanshan Feng has won her fourth Omega Dubai Ladies Masters title following an impressive display during her final round.

The defending champion went into Saturday’s action five shots behind overnight leader Felicity Johnson but quickly wiped out that lead, with five birdies on the front nine.

The 27-year-old continued to impress on the back nine, picking up further gains at 10, 11 and 14 to finish on 10-under par, two strokes clear of nearest rival Charley Hull of England.

The Chinese ace has now won the tournament for four of the last five years although this year’s event was reduced to three rounds following the tragic death of caddie Maximilian Zechmann on Wednesday.

Runner-up Hull, who claimed her first victory on the LPGA Tour at last month’s CME Group Tour Championship, was pleased with her second-place finish at Emirates Golf Club although she conceded it took her a while to get going during the event.

“I kind of woke up and got into my golf game,” the world number 18 said. “I’ve been a bit lazy all week on the golf course, but I got in there and concentrated.”
