Justin Thomas tops 2020 PGA tour earners list ahead of the American Express

A bright start to the 2019-20 PGA Tour has seen Justin Thomas streak ahead of his competition as the competition’s highest earner by more than $1 million approaching The American Express this weekend.

The 2017 PGA Championship winner has won two events this season—the CJ Cup at Nine Bridges in October and more recently the Sentry Tournament of Champions in January—raking in a PGA Tour total of $3,506,910. It may worth a stake at bet365. Betting lines are now set.

His first win of the campaign at Nine Bridges accounts for just over half that figure ($1,755,000, to be exact), with two other tournament performances totalling another $281,000 in winnings.

Brendon Todd has also won two events this Tour and sits second in the earners list with $2,335,232 in winnings—which is just about two-thirds of Thomas’ total.

Superstar Rory McIlroy is less than $25,000 away from Todd in third, while 15-time major-winner Tiger Woods rounds out the top 10 with $1,755,000 in winnings this term. Woods, 44, won the inaugural ZOZO Championship in October, his only winnings thus far on the 2019-20 PGA Tour.

The 2020 American Express tees off on Thursday when Adam Long will begin his defence of the tournament crown in the hopes he can snag a share of the $6,700,000 prize money pot.
