Rory Mcllory – The rise of the second best golf player of the world

Ranked as the 2nd best golf player on the globe, Rory Mcllory is a northern Irish professional golf player. He is a member of the European and professional golfers of America tours. At only 27 years old, Mcllory is a celebrity in the field of sports.

Rory Mcllory discovered his passion for golf at a tender age. Being the son of a fine golfer, Rory was introduced to the universe of golf at two years old. He accompanied his father to the Holywood golf course every day, and took his very first golf club to bed. His parents, being modest people, did their very best to support his golf education. Rory’s dad took up small jobs while his mother worked extra night shifts. At the age of 7, he became the youngest member of the Holywood club.  Rory Mcllory’s first victory was at the World Championship for the 9-10 age group.  At the age of 16, Rory dropped out of school to follow his passion for gold. His first golf coach was none other than his father, followed by Michael Bannon, who is still his current coach. Rory published his love for golf with the following statement:

“Golf has been a huge part of my life since a very young age. My dad introduced me to the game when I was 2 years old and from that moment on, I was hooked. I still love the game now as much as I did when I first got my club in my hand. It’s a bug.”

From 2004 until now, Mcllory has been excelling in his golf career by winning the below titles and games:

2004 – 2006 – Mcllory was part of the Europe winning team at the Junior Ryder Cup. He broke previous records by three shots, by scoring 61 and 11 – under par set a record at the North Ireland Amateur open and played his first professional game, 2005 British masters, at the age of 16. He became the youngest player to win the Irish Close Championship and the West of Ireland Championship, and won the 2006 European Amateur title.
