The Golf Paper, Britain’s only dedicated weekly golf publication, has signed three star columnists to add to its growing team of the sport’s top writers and commentators.

Former Ryder Cup star David Howell joins fellow European Tour Player Chris Wood along with the 2015 Solheim Cup captain Carin Koch in writing columns covering life as a Tour player and commenting on major golfing news in what promises to be a great summer of golf.

“To have such great columnists in the paper on a regular basis is brilliant,” said Alex Narey, Executive Editor of The Golf Paper. “They’ll provide an unmissable read and opinion on life on Tour so readers will be kept up-to-date on tournament news.”

Howell is a European Tour veteran with over 500 appearances in a career spanning three decades with six victories to his name. He was also on the 2004 and 2006 winning Ryder Cup teams and was part of the five-man panel who appointed Darren Clarke as 2016 captain.

“When I heard about The Golf Paper and its dedication to the game week in week out, I really wanted to get involved,” said Howell. “Being a regular columnist gives me an opportunity to let the readers inside the ropes and the locker room and provide my thoughts on the pressing golfing issues of the day.”

Wood rose to fame as an amateur and has enjoyed a successful professional career. He famously finished as the low amateur at the 2008 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale and then followed up that feat with a tied third finish a year later, his first major as a professional. He currently has two European Tour victories including this season’s Lyoness Open in June.

Koch, who plays on both the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour will write bi-weekly on her preparations for this year’s Solheim Cup in Germany in September where she will captain the side looking to defend the trophy won by Europe two years ago.

The Golf Paper covers the sport from top to bottom, with reports from tournaments around the world together with news of events throughout the domestic golf scene. It’s available at newsagents and leading supermarkets for £1.50 every Wednesday, plus quarterly and annual subscription offers for a digital edition.

The specialist golf publication was launched in April this year by sports media company Greenways Publishing based in Wimbledon, which currently sells almost 60,000 copies a week of various sporting titles, including The Football League Paper, The Non-League Paper, The Rugby Paper and The Cricket Paper, plus magazines Late Tackle and Racing Ahead.
