Thomas Bjorn claims he remembers nothing from his third round 63 at Baltusrol in the US PGA Championship in 2005.
The tournament returns to Baltusrol this year and Bjorn has revealed he cannot remember any specifics from his incredible third round 11 years ago, where he equalled the lowest score in major championship history.
The Dane, who finished second in 2005, told Press Association Sport: “It’s funny, I read the other week it was going back to Baltusrol and I hadn’t really thought about it. Then I started thinking about that 63 and I remember nothing!
“I remember nothing from the round because all my memories are about Sunday and going into Monday and playing those few holes on Monday morning.”
Bjorn failed to qualify for this year’s edition of the tournament and he admits he would have welcomed another chance to challenge for the US PGA Championship at Baltusrol.
He added: “It’s such a great course and it’s a shame I’m not there this year.”
