Jason Day has been drawn in arguably the toughest group in this year’s WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play.

Australian Day, who missed the cut at last week’s Valspar Championship, has been placed in Group 12 with American duo Phil Mickelson and Jim Furyk and Swedish star Henrik Stenson.

Former world number one Tiger Woods is in an all-US group after being drawn against Brandt Snedeker, Patrick Cantlay and 2018 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Aaron Wise.

Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy, who landed The Players Championship recently, will take on Englishman Matthew Fitzpatrick, South African Justin Harding and American Luke List in Group 4.

World number one Dustin Johnson heads Group 1 after he was drawn to play against fellow American Chez Reavie, Japanese Hideki Matsuyama and South African Branden Grace.

Italian Francesco Molinari, who won the Arnold Palmer Invitational recently, will take on US star Webb Simpson, Denmark’s Thorbjorn Olesen and Japan’s Satoshi Kodaira.

Englishman Paul Casey, fresh off his successful Valspar Championship defence, is in Group 10 with Australian Cameron Smith, Mexican Abraham Ancer and American Charles Howell III.
