Justin Rose says his form is good heading into the US Open and the Englishman believes another major win may be close at hand.

The 34-year-old has been in superb form this season and managed to finish second in The Memorial Tournament in his latest outing on the PGA Tour, losing out to David Lingmerth on the third extra hole.

The two-time Ryder Cup winner also ended up in a tie for second in the Masters at Augusta National before going on to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Success in the latter event means the English star has won a PGA Tour tournament in each of the past seven seasons and it highlights the consistent performances of the world number five.

Rose, who won the US Open back in 2013, his only major success to date, is feeling confident ahead of this year’s competition at Chambers Bay and feels everything is close to clicking together.

“I’m doing all the right things, it’s just a matter of everything lining up again in one week,” he said. “I feel like I’ve kicked on from winning my first major, sometimes it’s difficult to live up to that.

“I’ve maintained my world ranking, I’ve won tournaments, I’ve done all the right things. Having won one now gives you more confidence to get it done again. There are going to be opportunities to win more, you’ve got to be patient.”
